Classmates spotted his submerged body after the physical education class ended, officials said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moukoko was pulled from the water and CPR was performed on the teen before emergency responders rushed him to Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But Moukoko had suffered severe brain damage and attempts to revive him were unsuccessful,&nbsp;according to CTV News.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The teen died six days later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The coroner said in the report that water safety \u2014 not instruction \u2014 should be the focus of swimming courses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt just breaks my heart. It\u2019s hard for me to think about this teacher who was there when it happened.
